PRIVATE LESSONS
We currently offer private (one-on-one) lessons in piano, voice, violin, guitar, flute, and clarinet.  Weekly 30-minute, 45-minute, and hour-long lessons are available.

Students develop note-reading skills and a good sense of rhythm quickly through successful teaching methods.  All students learn proper technique, theory, good tone quality, and interpretation of various styles of music.

FLUTE CHOIR

An opportunity for flute students to gain valuable chamber music skills and have fun making music with others!

Wednesdays, 6pm-7pm

Cost: $75 for the Semester

FLUTE DAY
This annual one-day event is held every August.  Local flute students are invited for performance studies, master classes, ensemble playing, and other music activities.  Date and cost for Flute Day 2012 TBA
                                         

MUSIC THEORY                                                                             
Theory I is offered every summer.  Students with at least one year of private instrument study may enroll.   Classes meet every weekday for two weeks.   Enrollment is limited to 6 students. Dates and time TBA   
Tuition: $75 plus $12 materials fee   

Theory II is offered every summer.  Students should have satisfactorily passed Theory I or will be given a placement test.  Classes meet every weekday for two weeks.  Enrollment is limited to 6 students.  Dates and time TBA

MUSICIANSHIP CLASSES
We offer Musicianship classes for piano students currently enrolled in private lessons at DMS.  Classes are based on the elementary-level Music Pathways books, Levels A-D. Musicianship classes will cover MP Activities books, theory, some of the "You the Composer" assignments in the MP Discoveries books, and technical skills. This allows more time to focus on repertoire during the lessons, therefore allowing the students to progress at a faster pace. Musicianship classes are offered in addition to private lessons.   Classes meet once a week for 30-minutes.  The tuition for the 10-week session is $85. Contact Kellis for more information.

WORKSHOPS
